Track Insight / Lyrics

At dawn you leave the town You tuck the camera down Your footsteps ring around On sidewalks washed to ground At noon you board a bus The ticket curls in dust You watch a silver city pass The window holds your trust Morning beads in diamonds Across the spider strands You trace the web with fingers The dew reveals your hands At dusk you find a meadow You crouch where moss is deep A spider strings your shadow With silver beads asleep Morning beads in diamonds Across the spider strands You trace the web with fingers The dew reveals your hands A silver drop is falling The sun comes through in rings Your image leaves the railing And clings to brighter things You sleep beneath a rusted frame Your camera rests in sight The moon collects the silver name That spiders stitched at night You climb the steps at sunrise The dew flashes on the glass You lift your patient camera And let the daylight pass Morning beads in diamonds Across the spider strands You trace the web with fingers The dew reveals your hands By afternoon, the web is gone The glass reflects the blue You keep the lens uncaptioned With morning shining through
