I'm tuning up the engine
In this desert motel parking
Nitrous oxide hissing
From the tank that's getting lighter
Fuel for my midnight
Racing through the desert
Speed and solitude
Distant city lights glowing
Taking off into the night
Electric pulse igniting
Neon dreams unfolding
Neon nitrous feeling
Tires screeching, revving
From the parking lot to the highway
Accelerating into the dark
A solitary trail blazing
Fuel for my midnight
Racing through the desert
Speed and solitude
Distant city lights glowing
Taking off into the night
Electric pulse igniting
Neon dreams unfolding
Neon nitrous feeling
Desert stars streaking by
As I hit the open road
Heading towards that city light
Where the neon never closes
Taking off into the night
Electric pulse igniting
Neon dreams unfolding
Neon nitrous feeling
Speed and solitude
A fleeting electric connection
Neon dreams fading
Highway lights reappearing
