Boxcar sits on siding track
Oxidized skin on weathered back
Diner sign cuts through the black
Bromeliad dreams in steel sack
Steel ribs drink the sodium glow
Quercus roots in iron below
Three AM and the chlorophyll shows
Rusted photosynthesis grows
I speak in latin to the rust
Ferric oxide returns my trust
Each flake a spore in velvet dust
Tillandsia survives on crust
Neon bleeds on corrugated sides
Where sarracenia pitcher hides
Light pools deep in riveted lines
Xylem paths in metal spines
Steel ribs drink the sodium glow
Quercus roots in iron below
Three AM and the chlorophyll shows
Rusted photosynthesis grows
Slow groove pulls the midnight down
Tom heart beats beneath the ground
Fuzz blooms heavy psychoactive crown
Roots split seams without a sound
Dawn will crack the sodium spell
But tonight the boxcar sings as well
Epiphyte on a parallel
Life extracts from iron cell
Steel ribs drink the sodium glow
Quercus roots in iron below
Three AM and the chlorophyll shows
Rusted photosynthesis grows
Iron breathes in diner light
Photosynthesis claims the night
