Railway ruse, in the mist
A knight of old, seeking rest
Through the haze, his sword in hand
In search of peace, this tarnished land
Tracks stretch on, a lonely line
Ghosts of trains, echoes of time
He walks the path, his feet on stone

Glisten with dew, under starry whorls

Yet the humming motor, a distant drum
Calls him onward, to the dawn's numb
Through the chill, he trudges on and on
Lovely dream, of a morning sun

Gently rising sun, a beacon bright
Illume the steel, in first light
Steam hisses out, a gentle sigh

With dawn's light, his quest subsides
In the mist, he finds his hideaway
And so he rests, amidst the rails
A tarnished hero, in endless tales
His steel sword, beside him laid
