High above the coastal lane
Rusty skin and copper stain
I can see the salt spray fly
Cutting through a turquoise sky
Spinning round the copper eye
Watching all the cars go by
North to south and east to west
I am where the breezes rest
Tires hum a steady beat
Sizzling on the summer heat
Chrome and glass in rapid lines
Passing by the cedar pines
I have seen the lovers fight
Underneath the pale moonlight
I have seen the lonely ride
With the turning of the tide
Spinning round the copper eye
Watching all the cars go by
North to south and east to west
I am where the breezes rest
Iron bolts and heavy lead
Counting every word they said
Stuck upon this concrete height
Holding on with all my might
Gulls are screaming in the air
Tangled in a salty flare
I just pivot on my pin
Let the morning wind begin
Spinning round the copper eye
Watching all the cars go by
North to south and east to west
I am where the breezes rest
Just a spin, just a spin
Let the morning wind begin
Copper Eye!
