Track Insight / Lyrics
Winter's veil descends upon the town
A lovers' alleyway, once swept clean
Now dust motes cling to icy stone
As I compose this missive, alone
Oh winter snow, how you entwine me
In secrets hidden, lines entwined
A serenade in frozen time
Only for her, for her to find
Tattered pages soggy on my hand
The words blur with the winterland
A tale of longing, deep and true
To thaw the ice, my heart would do
Oh winter snow, how you entwine me
In secrets hidden, lines entwined
A serenade in frozen time
Only for her, for her to find
In candle-lit taverns, whispers spread
Of the outcast poet, lost in his head
But my heart beats for another sound
The word that echoes, unspoken found
Oh winter snow, how you entwine me
In secrets hidden, lines entwined
A serenade in frozen time
Only for her, for her to find
If moonbeams pierce the snowy nights
And guide the way to hidden delights
Then I'll unfold this delicate piece
And lay it at her frost-stung feet, release
Oh winter snow, how you entwine me
In secrets hidden, lines entwined
A serenade in frozen time
Only for her, for her to find
The snowmatcher's finest work complete
This letter sealed, in winter's keep
Until the thaw, until her eyes
Read my heart, through this winter's sighs
