Track Insight / Lyrics

The freight car rolls through bay fog thick Its rusty sides reflect the dock light slick Gulls cry above the salt stained track The night cook flips a pancake stack [Pre- Steam rises from the griddle pan Like fog that hides the bay from man The car pauses wheels hiss and sigh The pier holds breath beneath the sky Rusty Freight Pier stands through night Rusty Freight Pier holds the light Grease and coffee fuel the song Stubborn hope keeps rolling on The conductor tips his cap to dawn The regulars order eggs and yawn Tracks shudder as the tide rolls in Morning breaks on rusted tin [Pre- Steam rises from the griddle pan Like fog that hides the bay from man The car pauses wheels hiss and sigh The pier holds breath beneath the sky Rusty Freight Pier stands through night Rusty Freight Pier holds the light Grease and coffee fuel the song Stubborn hope keeps rolling on Fog lifts slow as bacon sizzles loud The freight car wears a rusty shroud Gulls steal fries from plates of tin The bay reflects a steel sky grin Rusty Freight Pier stands through night Rusty Freight Pier holds the light Grease and coffee fuel the song Stubborn hope keeps rolling on A tourist snaps a photo quick The cook just wipes a counter slick The freight car sighs a metal tune Beneath a pale and watery moon Rusty Freight Pier stands through night Rusty
