Track Insight / Lyrics
Standing in front, just out of reach
Like a forgotten dream, whispers of speech
Neon lights reflect, like a lonely glow
In this laundromat now, your tender touch I know
Suddenly the rain stops, a glimpse of blue
Our hearts rekindled, a second chance anew
I'll meet you back here, when the storm subsides
Under the drum machine rhythm, our love resides
Raincheck on our hearts, love delayed but never forgotten
Like a glitch in the system, sputtering, then restarting
Two souls, magnets drawing near, a laundry list of reasons why
I'm waiting for you, tonight, 'neath neon skies
Folding clothes in silence, our fingers brush, electric sparks
A lonely feeling fades, forgotten scars
In this dirty, crowded space, we found an island peace
Now the rain drums on the roof, our secret compromise
Suddenly the rain stops, a glimpse of blue
Our hearts rekindled, a second chance anew
I'll meet you back here, when the storm subsides
Under the drum machine rhythm, our love resides
Raincheck on our hearts, love delayed but never forgotten
Like a glitch in the system, sputtering, then restarting
Two souls, magnets drawing near, a laundry list of reasons why
I'm waiting for you, tonight, 'neath neon skies
The washer hums a lullaby, rinse and spin our sins
In this fluorescent bubble, our love begins
No judgment, just a refuge from the storm outside
Tonight, you're the detergent that makes my heart glide
Raincheck on our hearts, love delayed but never forgotten
Like a glitch in the system, sputtering, then restarting
Two souls, magnets drawing near, a laundry list of reasons why
I'm waiting for you, tonight, 'neath neon skies
Fading lights, machines quiet now
The laundromat's empty, but our love won't fade somehow
Tonight, the rain washed clean, our home's beneath the neon sky
Forever faithful, waiting for the day we can fly.
