Track Insight / Lyrics

Brown tape on a cedar floor Rolling toward the open door Thunder shakes the heavy beam Black clouds rip a jagged seam Spinning in a circle slow Looking for a place to go Plastic ribbon gold and grey Washing all the noise away Silver rain hits window glass Watching all the minutes pass Water stains the wooden grain Humming through the summer rain Tangled in a rusted nail Slipping like a paper sail Hissing through a broken reel Cold enough for skin to feel Spinning in a circle slow Looking for a place to go Plastic ribbon gold and grey Washing all the noise away One hand reaches for the tape Giving it a clean escape Wiping off the salty grime Saving just a piece of time Pocket full of faded views Walking in some worn out shoes Clicking shut a camera lens Where the lonely highway ends Spinning in a circle slow Looking for a place to go Plastic ribbon gold and grey Washing all the noise away Plastic ribbon gold Plastic ribbon gold Hold it close now Hold it close
