Track Insight / Lyrics
Overhead, subway signs flicker on
Ruby red and yellow neon, pulsing like a ton
A city nightlife dance, thin and fast
Through lens and shadows, we capture the past
In the fleeting moments, we almost touch
A brush of hip, a glance that wrenches such
Electric energy flows, metered and bright
As we emerge alive in the neon light
Neon lovers, two frames in sync
Midnight tales told through pictures within
Clicks echo in the darkness, light trails by
Our secret pilgrimage beneath the city sky
Via Radiante and Esperanza
Through alleys, on the rundown fringes
Where the tattooed and the lonely roam
We search for the beauty in the overgrown
In the fleeting moments, we almost touch
A brush of hip, a glance that wrenches such
Electric energy flows, metered and bright
As we emerge alive in the neon light
Neon lovers, two frames in sync
Midnight tales told through pictures within
Clicks echo in the darkness, light trails by
Our secret pilgrimage beneath the city sky
Past the phone booths and the 7-11
With its lonesome Mc
Cafe coffee din
We promise ourselves to stay awake
And snap the life that this city speaks
Perhaps in some undated snapshot laid away
Our paths will cross another neon day
But for now, the light fades off the screen
As we move on, our stories unseen
Neon lovers, two frames in sync
Midnight tales told through pictures within
Clicks echo in the darkness, light trails by
Our secret pilgrimage beneath the city sky
In the shadows, cameras tucked away
We melt back into the urban sprawl's gray
Two travelers, two frames, two neon hearts
Under the city lights, where our pictures start.
