Track Insight / Lyrics
Lights are off, bar closed down
Neon buzzing, no one around
Cold air hanging in the dark
Just your shadow by my truck
Keys still in, engine off
We said “bye” but didn’t move
Something in the way you stood
Said we weren’t done like we should
[Pre-
Whole night talking, still not through
Feels like everything leads back to you
We’re the last truck in the lot
Last thing this town forgot
Engine off but hearts on fire
Sitting here a little higher
We’re the last truck in the lot
Don’t know what we are or not
But I know I don’t wanna drive
If it means leaving you behind
Radio low, hands don’t touch
But somehow it says too much
Every second stretching out
Like we’re scared to close it now
(repeat)
If we drive off, it’s goodbye
If we stay, we change the night
We’re the last truck in the lot
And I don’t care what we call it
If this moment’s all we got
I ain’t moving, I ain’t stopping
