Track Insight / Lyrics
Perched on a mesa high
Watchtower vigil in the sky
Flickering rays pierce the night
A beacon for travelers' sight
Echoes of love lost at sea
Whispers of what used to be
In the hollow of this lonely tower
I hear the rhythm of a lighthouse power
Keep on beating, keep on beating
In the dark where shadows meet
A steady pulse, a guiding light
Keep on beating through the night
Stormy weather, raging skies
The lantern's glow cuts through the sighs
A steady friend, an anchor true
Through despair, it shines anew
Echoes of love lost at sea
Whispers of what used to be
In the hollow of this lonely tower
I hear the rhythm of a lighthouse power
Keep on beating, keep on beating
In the dark where shadows meet
A steady pulse, a guiding light
Keep on beating through the night
Raindrops rinse the glass, I wipe away
A lifetime's sorrow, washed by the bay
The light revives with each morning dew
A chance to start, for me and you
Perhaps a ship may find its way
Through the darkness, to a brighter day
And in the tower's radiant glow
Two souls could find their hearts to know
Keep on beating, keep on beating
In the dark where shadows meet
A steady pulse, a guiding light
Keep on beating through the night
(Beat slows, synths fade)
Keep on beating...
