Track Insight / Lyrics
I keep watch through the night
A shadow-groom on wicker seat
Tails twitching, eyes aglow bright
Guarding secrets beneath my feet
The salty breeze, a lullaby
As the waves swoosh by
In the moon's pale silver glow
I dream of mice in trash cans low
Of seagulls calling, feet around
The world below, just out of town
Harbor whiskers, listening deep
To the city's thrum, its pavement creep
I prowl the planks, unseen and still
In the harbor's heart, my vigil chill
Harbor whiskers, salt on my fur
Guarding tales, in the night's allure
Fishermen's stories, tales untold
Echoes of a world of old
Sea salt lingering on my paws
As moonbeams dance, on the waves' laws
Through the night, I keep my post
Watching over, with eyes aglow most
In the moon's pale silver glow
I dream of mice in trash cans low
Of seagulls calling, feet around
The world below, just out of town
Harbor whiskers, listening deep
To the city's thrum, its pavement creep
I prowl the planks, unseen and still
In the harbor's heart, my vigil chill
Harbor whiskers, salt on my fur
Guarding tales, in the night's allure
Sometimes a pert lapdog strays
Trotting by, in a Sunday haze
Sniffing, snuffling, tail afloat
I let them pass, without a thought
For my domain, they cannot fathom
The stories whispered, in the harbor's clatter
Harbor whiskers, listening deep
To the city's thrum, its pavement creep
I prowl the planks, unseen and still
In the harbor's heart, my vigil chill
Harbor whiskers, salt on my fur
Guarding tales, in the night's allure
So I'll remain, in shadows cast
Watching over, as the world is vast
Telling in my dreams, what I've seen
Harbor secrets, locked in whispers keen.
