Cold stone presses on your skin.
Where the heavy air is thin.
You open eyes to a gray wall.
Waiting for the light to fall.
Golden root in a shaft of white.
Drinking in the sudden light.
Petals open wide and slow.
Watch the yellow nectar glow.
Sollum nectar, sweet and gold.
Stories that the fossils told.
Sift the silt with shaking hands.
Waking in the buried lands.
Golden root in a shaft of white.
Drinking in the sudden light.
Petals open wide and slow.
Watch the yellow nectar glow.
Latin names for every leaf.
Healing every ancient grief.
Steady pulse in every vein.
Washing off the winter stain.
Golden root in a shaft of white.
Drinking in the sudden light.
Petals open wide and slow.
Watch the yellow nectar glow.
Wait for the stem to find the way.
Turn the midnight into day.
Digging deep through heavy clay.
Where the hidden spirits stay.
Soft moss cushions every bone.
Far away from any throne.
Breathe the scent of damp pine bark.
Leaving behind all the dark.
Golden root in a shaft of white.
Drinking in the sudden light.
Petals open wide and slow.
Watch the yellow nectar glow.
Stay in the light.
Golden Root.
