Track Insight / Lyrics
Fishin' for the past
In my backyard cosmos
Peeling back the weeds
Uncovering seeds of need
Rotting dreams now sprout
Ghostly footprints found no doubt
Casting lines in time
Trying to re-align the rhyme
Embered mind, where sparks ignite
Love and memories, my guiding light
Catching fish in the depths
Buried stories, clues to our past
Rummaging through the shed
Old photographs long since dead
Scrapbooks filled with fading love
Faces smudged, stories above
Casting lines in time
Trying to re-align the rhyme
Embered mind, where sparks ignite
Love and memories, my guiding light
Catching fish in the depths
Buried stories, clues to our past
In this yard of time
Weeds of memories entwine
Each tug, a revelation
Beneath the surface, a treasure waiting
Embered mind, where sparks ignite
Love and memories, my guiding light
Catching fish in the depths
Buried stories, clues to our past
And now I know the truth
In the ashes of our youth
Fishin' for the past
In my backyard cosmos
