Neon paints my barrel blue
Snowflakes kiss and die on cue
Finger prints on frozen grip
City lights through iron slip
Cold slide catches heaven's ash
Melting fast as city cash
No trigger pulled no safety off
Just winter's kiss on metal cough
Bus brakes hiss on Broadway wet
Boots crunch salt where shadows met
Lens cap off a shutter clicks
Framing steel in brutal pics
Sirens braid through freezing rain
Pavement drinks the midnight train
Grip tape wears a thumbprint smooth
Proof walks in a winter groove
Cold slide catches heaven's ash
Melting fast as city cash
No trigger pulled no safety off
Just winter's kiss on metal cough
Eight rounds sleep in magazine
Dreams of flash and cordite clean
But tonight the sky writes white
On my flank a frosted bite
Dawn bleeds pink on Chrysler steel
Meltdrop falls from hammer heel
Holster leather warms at last
Night shifts into morning fast
Cold slide catches heaven's ash
Melting fast as city cash
No trigger pulled no safety off
Just winter's kiss on metal cough
Steel drinks light and lets it go
