Lead lines hold the ruby red
Brambles coil around my head
Solder drips on weathered stone
Working in this yard alone
Caught in the Cobalt and Vine
Breaking the straight jagged line
Hold to the light till it glows
Where the wild ivy grows
Glass shards bite into my palm
In the heavy summer calm
Green stems wrap around my wrist
Turning in a velvet twist
Iron frames begin to bend
Where the garden meets the end
Cutting through the tangled weed
Planting every crystal seed
Caught in the Cobalt and Vine
Breaking the straight jagged line
Hold to the light till it glows
Where the wild ivy grows
Breathe in the scent of the pine
Tracing a heavenly sign
Shatter the gray and the gold
Watching the colors unfold
Pruning back the heavy weight
Opening the rusted gate
Blue light spills across the floor
I don't need the locked-up door
Caught in the Cobalt and Vine
Breaking the straight jagged line
Hold to the light till it glows
Where the wild ivy grows
Cobalt and vine
The light is mine
Cobalt and vine
